Integrated Project

For Innovation & Entrepreneurship For Social Change 1 group project, we had to identify a local social issue.  Based on the group’s identified social issue, our group had to prepare 4 A3 size posters which state the following:

 

1. What is the social issue? – Write-up on the social issue, including key facts and statistics

2. What is being done? – Key initiatives that were taken by the government, VWOs and SEs to address this social issue

3. What else can be done by youths? – Volunteering opportunities at VWOs, support of SEs by purchasing their products and services, participation in events etc.

 

These posters were also presented during an exhibition a week after submission where we had to present these posters to other students and lecturers.

 

Our group's chosen area of impact is people with visual impairment.

 

Our social issue is that people with visual impairment may have difficulties being independent individuals in society.

Integrated Project

For IT Application Video Group Project Assignment, my group mates and I are  expected to produce a 3 to 5 minutes video on a social issue of our choice. The video must include a call to action, prompting viewers to take some action or to make a change.

 

For the video, the area of impact is the same as for the poster shown above. The social issue for the video, however, is to increase awareness that people with visual impairment can also do a job as well as the able-bodied people.
